Our Pastor

Jonathan Hamilton was unanimously called by the congregation of Anchor Point Baptist Church to be its next pastor in January of 2021. He began his duties on Sunday, June 27, 2021. Jonathan was born and raised in Fairbanks, Alaska, but he and his wife Stephanie moved to the lower-48 soon after marriage, where they lived for 14 years prior to their return to the Last Frontier. Jonathan spent ten years serving first informally, and then formally, at Bethany Baptist Church of Dollar Bay, Michigan where he was a deacon and later the Associate Pastor. Feeling the need and desire for further pastoral training, the Hamiltons moved to the Twin Cities for Jonathan to pursue seminary training at Central Baptist Theological Seminary of Plymouth, Minnesota. Upon graduating from CBTS in May, 2021, the Hamiltons headed for Anchor Point to pastor APBC and to raise their four children.
